Sgt Leslie F. Smith graduated from Stoughton High School in 1943 and worked at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 12 March 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his buttock and hip.
