Sgt J. W. Gulledge attended high school for one year and worked on a farm before he enlisted at Camp Shelby, Mississippi on November 4,1942.He was killed by artillery shell fragments.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden. France.
