Pfc Layman R. Reynolds attended Wellsville High School and was a munitions worker for the Mullins Manufacturing Co. in Salem.He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 16 May 1944.
He was wounded in action in February 1945 for which he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal the first time.
