Sgt Maurice G. Karschner attended high school for four years and was a welder and flame cutter before he enlisted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 17 June 1942.He was killed by small arms fire in his back.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
