Pfc Edward Popielarz graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School in 1941 and was employed by Marcus Brier at Adirondack Sports Goods Company.

He enlisted in Albany, New York on 2 November 1942.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to the chest.
