2nd Lt Paul M. Obst graduated from Naugatuck High School and from North Carolina State College and was employed at the Coca Cola Bottling Company of Worcester before he enlisted at Fort Devens, Massachusetts on 16 January 1943. He was sent overseas in September 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
