Cpl Wayne E. Russell graduated from Vernon High School and was employed at the local Dairyman's League plant.He enlisted at Fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York on 9 February 1942.
He is remembered at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Vernon, Oneida County, New York.
