Pfc Curtis B. Baber enlisted in Staunton, Virginia pn 13 January 1943. He received his training at Camp Croft in South Carolina and later was transferred to Fort Meade, Maryland, where he remained until he was sent to New York.He arrived overseas in July 1944.
His brother Charles Hunter Baber served in the Navy in the Pacific.
