Angelo Puorto enlisted in Albany, New York on 14 March 1941.He was killed by shell fragments in the head and leg.
Pfc Puorto was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 27 October 1944. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place in July 1948.
