Sgt Sylveser M. Bolick worked on a farm before he enlisted at Camp Croft, south carolina on 23 September 1942.

He was killed by small arms fire in the head.

He was first buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 24 December 1944. His remains were disinterred on 6 November 1947 and prepared and placed in a casket on the same day. He was given his final resting place on 28 June 1948.
