Pfc Raymond A. Ibe graduated from Central High school in 1941 and was employed at Rex Theatre.
He enlisted on 21 December 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was stationed at Fort Sheridan; Camp Robinson, Arkansas; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Camp Bowie, Texas; and Camp Atterbury, Indiana. He was sent overseas in February 1944 to England.

His two brothers also were in service.
