S/Sgt Joseph E. Beagan graduated from St. Augustine High School.He enlisted on 2 October 1942 at Fort Jay, New York
S/Sgt Beagan was kiled by shrapnel and initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in La Cambe, France on 15 July 1944.
At the request of his family he was buried next to his brother 1st Lt Peter W. Beagan Jr. on 25 October 1948.
