Pfc Henry M. Garrett attended Central High School and worked for General Electric.

He enlisted in Toledo, Ohio on 15 December 1942. He was sent overseas in January 1944.

Together with his parents, he is remembered on a headstone at the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
