Pfc Charles R. Davenport enlisted in Lubbock, Texas on 19 January 1944.He attended high school for 4 years and worked on a farm before he enlisted.
He gave his life saving a wounded buddy in the defense of Bastogne.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
Pfc Davenport is remembered at the Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Martin County, Texas.
