2nd Lt Owen Owen Jr. attended Fulton High School in Atlanta, Georgia.He was killed while leading a group of men through an artillery barrage. He was hit by a piece of shrapnel and died a few moments later.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Son, the Netherlands.
