Sgt Albert Mazzeo graduated from Scienceville High School.He enlisted in July 1942.
He was one of the 12 paratroopers who staged a demonstration for President Roosevelt and the British foreign minister, Anthony Eden, in Washington in March 1943.
Sgt Mazzeo was reported seriously wounded on 19 September 1944. He died of his wounds two days later.
