Sgt Clyde E. Featherston graduated from Norman High School in 1941 and worked as a clerk at the Moody Hotel in Hot Springs.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States on 12 June 1942.

He participated in the invasion of Normandy.

He was shot by a German sniper.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Son, The Netherlands.
