2nd Lt Robert W. Lake graduated from William Penn High School and worked for the Harrisburg Steel Corporation.He enlisted May 1942 and was sent overseas in November 1943.
Lt Lake was wounded by machine gun fire while being in a ditch up front on the right side of the road close to the south part of Monastry.
