2nd Lt Anthony C. Nardo joined the Regular Army in College Park, Maryland on 19 May 1942.

He attended 2 years at the Baltimore City College where he joined the football squad. In 1947 this uiversity instituted the Anthony C. Nardo Memorial Trophy which was awarded each year to the outstanding line on the Maryland football squad by the president of the Phi fraternity. Anthoncy Nardo was guard on the 1941-1942 team.

He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
