1st Sgt Aime H. Drapeau volunteered for the U.S. Army in Albany, New York on 23 February 1942. He received his training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. and was sent overseas in 1944. He participated in airborne landings in Normandy and Holland.He graduated from Van Rensselaer High School and was a driver in civilian life.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
