Pvt Paul G. Rentz graduated from Fair Park High School.

He enlisted at Camp Beauregard, Louisiana on 15 March 1944 and was sent overseas in November 1944.

His brother, E.M. Rentz, served with the Eight Air Force in England. The two spent a weekd toegether before Paul was sent to France in January 1945.

His father, Lt. Colonel Rentz was a veteran of WWI and WWII.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand of Failly, France.
