Pvt Herman A. H. Engelhardt graduated from Central High School in 1943.He enlisted on 21 December 1943 and was sent overseas in September 1944.
He was killed in action during a demolition mission on a bridge at St. Oedenrode when an enemy shell burst near him.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Son, The Netherlands
