Sgt James W. Brodie served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 1930's aboard the battleship USS Oklahoma. After the beginning of WWII, he went to rejoin the Marine Corps but they wanted a younger person. So he joined the U.S. Army and volunteered for the experimental para infantry. He made 3 jumps during the war.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Son, The Netherlands.
