Private Richardson enlsited on 23 March 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jesey. He was a 1939 graduate of Potsdam High School and worked on the Richardson family farm before entering the military.

He was reported missing in action on 4 November 1944 and officially decleared dead on 5 November 1945.
