Sgt Albert Murr worked on the family farm with his father.He enlisted on 18 September 1942 at Chicago, Illinois.
His unit departed from Germeter, Germany to take and hold Schmidt, Germany. He was last seen at Schmidt when his company was ordered to retreat, but he was not present when the company reorganized thereafter.
