Word has been received that Sgt Floyd Oaks of Marquette has been missing in action in Luxembourg since December 20. His wife the former Maxine John, daughter of Mrs. Effie John of Little River; and his mother Mrs. Lovie Oaks, who lives in Marquette. Sgt Oaks worked for the Pacific Railway in Marquette before entering the service in the summer of 1943. He was sent overseas last fall.
