Pvt Ambrose A. Chodnicki attended Pittston High School and was a blacksmith and sheet metal worker for the Murray Corporation in Scranton before he enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 18 July 1944. He was sent overseas on 26 December 1944.
