Robert Wolf attended Central High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

He worked with Dr. C.E. Boyd at the Boyd Clinic.

He was sent overseas in Octobe, 1943.

He was taken prisoner and was held in Stalag XII-A in Limburg an der Lahn, Germany.

He was killed during an Allied air raid on a railway junction near the camp, together with 62 other men, mostly medical personnel

He was initially buried at the prison cemetery

While he was in the camp his youngest son was born who he has never seen. He left behind a wife and two little sons.

Many of his family members also served in the second world war, often as medical personnel.
