Pfc Thomas R. King enlisted in Sacramento, California on 19 March 1943.

Statement of Lt Flynn: On the 30th we were ordered to move about 200 yards forward and take up a defensive position, with the 3rd Platoon on the right, the 1st in the center. Upon arriving at the position we were fired upon by enemy machine gun fire from positions we could not see. Sgt. Solomon & Pvt. King were killed.
