Sgt Emmett P. Clark was a sales clerk.He joined the National Guard in Warren, Pennsylvania on 17 February 1941. He had been overseas since October 1943.
Two brothers were also in service, Pfc John J. Clark and Pvt Robert T. Clark.
He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 10 February 1945. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place on 20 June 1948.
