Pfc Quentin J. Finnegan graduated from Shelby High School in 1941, attended DeSales College at Toledo for one year and at the time of his enlistment was attending St. Joseph's College at Rennselaer, Indiana.

He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 11 February 1943. He was sent overseas in September 1944.

He is also remembered at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Shelby, Ohio.
