Pfc Julian H. Rogers graduated from Bloomington High School and worked with his father-in-law, R. H. Marlin, a contractor.

He enlisted in Indianapolis, Indiana on 18 February 1943.

He enlisted in February 1943 and was sent overseas in March 1944.

In 2007, a German citizen searching for wartime relics in the Hürtgen Forest uncovered human remains and military identification tags for Pfc Rogers. He notified U.S. officials and a Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) team excavated the site later that year. The team recovered human remains and non-biological material. Pfc Rogers' remains were positively identified in the fall of 2008. He was buried with full military honors in the spring of 2009 at Arlington National Cemetery.
