S/Sgt Thomas R. Faull was a mechanic before he joined the National Guard in Grove City, Pennsylvania on 17 February 1941.

According to a report S/Sgt Faull was hit in his leg and a comrade tried to carry him back but was unable to go very far with him. He left S/Sgt Faull in the vicinity of Kommerscheidt.
