Sgt Leo G. Dlugosz attended Bennett High School. He joined the National Guard in Buffalo, New York on 19 March 1940 and was the first of four brothers to enter the service.He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery at Toul, France.
He is buried next to his brother Edward Dlugosz. His brother Frank was wounded on 7 November 1943 in Italy and returned to the United States. His brother Julian served with an Army Air Force maintenance unit in England.
