Pfc Sheldon G. Bushman was employed at the Wade Coal Company in Batavia.He joined the Regular Army in Rochester, New York on 3 October 1940. He served in the Panama Canal Zone and Trinidad, British West Indies before he was sent to Europe in December 1943.
He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his back.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
