Pfc Marion C. Alexander attended Newton High School and was a waiter before he enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 27 November 1943.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments in his face and leg.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.

He is remembered at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Miami County, Ohio.
