Pvt John C. Walker attended high school for four years and was a pressman and plate printer before he enlisted at Fort Thomas, Kentucky on 12 April 1944.He died in a field hospital from the effects of shell fragments in his ribs and spleen.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand-Failly, France.
