S/Sgt Eugene W. Sullivan attended Sparta High School and Campion College at Prairie du Chien. He was formerly employed as bookkeeper for the Monroe County Highway Department, a position he held for several years and he was also employed as a cab driver before he enlisted on 19 January 1944. He arrived in Europe on 1 July 1944.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
