Pfc Rudolph J. Walogorsky attended college for two years and was a machinist apprentice before he enlisted in New York City, New York on 4 November 1942.

He was killed by small arms fire artillery shell fragments in his chest.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
