Pfc Joe M. Carrillo was employed at the Magma Copper Company before he volunteered for the Army of the United States on 23 March 1942.

His names was acutally Jose but he used the nickname Joe.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
