Pvt Liborio C. Gargano enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 29 January 1944.He was graduated from Somerville High School and was employed at the Belle Mead Army Service Forces Depot prior to entering the service. He went overseas in December 1944 after training at Camp Wolters, Tex., and Fort Benning, Ga.
Pvt Gargano was wounded in the explosion of a shell following the capture of an enemy position.
