Walter R. Tucholski Jr. graduated from Bethel Township High School and was a sales clerk.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 17 March 1942.

2nd Lt Tucholski's remains were recovered in 1971 when crews were working to widen a road. He was to be interred on 13 October 1972 at Westmoreland Memorial Park Cemetery in Pennsylvania per the family's request.
