Pfc Bestic worked for the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co.He enlisted at Camp Perry, Ohio on 23 March 1942 and was sent overseas in March 1943. He was a veteran of the North African and Sicilian Campaigns.
Pfc Joseph Bestic had recently returned to duty after recovering from wounds suffered in France.
