More information

Pfc Gregory Kellepouris was a factory worker.

This is an eywitness account of Pfc Clinton E. Riddle, who served with Pfc Kellepouris in the same company:
"Greg was killed June 9, 1944 in an orchard in Normandy. I saw Greg and 18 others killed that day by Germans hiding in tall grass in a pit in an orchard. The Germans waited until the boys got close to where they were before firing. I visited the place the next morning and saw where they lay in a line across the orchard. You could almost step from one to the other. I saw this one with the black gloves with his hand outstretched as if he was reaching for something "to help me God".

Pvc Kellepouris was killed during the battle for the La Fière Bridge.

He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Blosville, France.
