Pvt Frank J. Gentile was employed as an electric welder at Des Moines Company shipyard in Pittsburgh.He enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 21 October 1943. Pvt Gentile was sent overseas in February 1944.
Pvt Gentile was originally buried in a fieldgrave, was then buried in a temporary grave at Ardennes Cemetery on 13 June 1945 and then reintered in a permanent grave.
