Pvt Anthony Olivieri graduated from Lawrence High School in June 1943 where he was selected as one of the best in the school's orchestra.

He enlisted in New York City, New York on 19 July 1943.

On 2 October 1944, the 325th attacked the Mook plains until they reached the hamlet at Katerbosch. The fog that had concealed them was lifting and they were in the open without cover. Heavy losses ensued including Pvt. Olivieri.

He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Molenhoek, the Netherlands.
