S/Sgt Charles W. Warren joined the Regular Army in Peoria, Illinois on 11 October 1940 and served in Iceland for eighteen months.

He was initially buried at the Temporary American Miliatry Cemetery in Limey, France.

He is also remembered at the Arrowsmith Township Cemetery in Arrowsmith, Illinois.
