T/3 Charles L. Davidson graduated from Bloomington High School in 1939 and was a hospital attendant.

He joined the Regular Army in Peoria, Illinois on 13 December 1940. He trained at Camp Grant, Camp McCoy and Camp Ellis and was sent overseas in April 1944.
