Pfc Ernest Gould attended college.

He joined the Regular Army on 29 April 1939 and was sent overseas in August 1941.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Saint James, France.

His brother, Rollie was a corporal, serving in the South Pacific at the time of his death.
