T/Sgt Francis A. Robichaud attended high school for 4 years and was an electrician. He joined the Regular Army in Wausau, Wisconsin on 23 October 1940.

He was first buried in the U.S. Temporary Cemetery of St. James, St. James, France.

Extract from a newspaper article of the Daily News, Iron Mountain of 26 October 1944:
“T/Sgt. Robichaud, a graduate of Kingsford High School was well known in this area & throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, for his prowess as a tennis player.
After graduation he went to work for the Paul Electric Co & later was a partner in the company. He opened a refrigerator shop in Iron River, Michigan.
He enlisted in the Army on October 22, 1940 & was sent to Fort Custer, Michigan for training. He came home 3 years ago for a brief visit with his parents, then was sent to Iceland with a unit of the Infantry. He served 18 months in Iceland & then went to England briefly until his next assignment in North Ireland & France.”
